PDP’s Ganderbal constituency in-charge Sheikh Bilal leaves party
Srinagar, Aug 27: Constituency in-charge for Ganderbal and vice chairperson district development council (DDC) Sheikh Bilal has quit Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports said Tuesday.
Bilal confirmed to news agency KNO that he has resigned from the party, but didn’t cite any specific reason.
He said that he will decide his future course of action in the coming days.
Ganderbal, Aug 26 (Indian Express): Bilal Ahmed Sheikh is expected to announce his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after a distinguished 23-year tenure.
According to details obtained by Indian Express, Bilal, who has been serving as the Vice Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) for Ganderbal and was the party’s in-charge for the Ganderbal constituency, is likely to formally announce his resignation tomorrow.
His departure is anticipated to be a significant setback for the PDP, particularly impacting the party’s influence in the Shaipathri block of Ganderbal district.
Bilal has been a prominent grassroots leader, making substantial contributions to community development and party organization. His resignation is poised to alter the party’s strategic approach in future elections.
