Tiger 3 box office collection day 2: Salman Khan’s spy thriller heads towards Rs 200 cr mark globally, eclipses this Jawan record

Tiger 3 box office collection day 2: Salman Khan’s action-thriller is delivering massive numbers in theatres, and is already approaching the Rs 200 crore mark globally.

The Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 experienced an anticipated surge in revenue on its second day of release, which coincidentally happened to be a Monday. The movie earned Rs 57 crore on its second day, bringing its domestic nett total to over Rs 100 crore in just two days. The worldwide gross of Tiger 3 is approaching Rs 200 crore.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 had an opening day collection of Rs 44 crore on Diwali, setting a new record for Salman Khan but falling short of the Rs 57 crore that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan earned earlier in the year. Tiger 3 is expected to surpass Pathaan’s day 2 record and continue performing well in its first week.

The film is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Hrithik Roshan’s War. Despite mixed critical responses, the star-studded film featuring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and others is generating excitement among audiences.

According to Sacnilk, Tiger 3 registered 48% occupancy for the Hindi language version on day two, with the majority of revenue coming from the Mumbai and Delhi-NCR regions. The film had a muted release in the Tamil and Telugu belts, where it reported occupancy of less than 30% on day two. While not generating the same level of interest as Pathaan in the South, Tiger 3 is expected to continue performing well in its first week.

Salman Khan, whose recent films had mixed success at the box office, looks set to score a hit with Tiger 3. His last outright hit was the second Tiger film, Tiger Zinda Hai, in 2017. Since then, his films like Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Antim: The Final Truth, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan did not perform as well. The first Tiger film, Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan, made over Rs 330 crore worldwide.
