NRA CET 2024: The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is going to conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET) from 2024 onwards, as per the media reports. The NRA will conduct a single common test for shortlisting candidates for Group B and C (non-technical) posts. The NRA CET 2024 will be conducted online in the computer-based test (CBT) mode.
The Common Eligibility Test exam will test candidates at the preliminary level for the recruitment carried out by agencies such as IBPS, SSC and RRB.
How NRA CET will impact SSC Recruitment Exams?
Once the NRA begins conducting the CET exam, the Tier 1 exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be stopped. The NRA CET 2024 exam will act as a preliminary test for shortlisting candidates for the further recruitment process.

- Qualification for Tier 2: Candidates who will clear the NRA CET exam will be called by the Commission to appear for the Tier 2 exam or next selection round under the SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, SSC MTS, SSC GD and others.
- NRA CET Scores valid for 3 Years: The NRA CET scores will be valid for 3 years. Candidates who will qualify the NRA CET in 2024 will be eligible to appear for the SSC recruitment exams till 2026. For those who will appear for the NRA CET exam every year, their best score will be considered as the current NRA CET score for their selection.
- No Restriction on Number of Attempts: There is no restriction of number of attempts in NRA CET exam. So SSC aspirants can appear for the CET exam for any number of times till they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the Commission in the particular SSC exam.
- Final Selection by Commission: The final selection of candidates for appointment will be done by the Staff Selection Commission itself.
