Srinagar, Oct 23: The third season of Homechef has once again brought to life the vibrant food culture of Jammu and Kashmir, blending traditional flavors with innovative tastes. This year’s event shone a spotlight on some of the region’s most skilled home chefs, who competed to showcase their exceptional talents in baking and cooking.
Co-hosted by Dhara and Khyber Himalayan Trout, with the support of IHM Srinagar and the Ministry of Tourism, the contest displayed remarkable culinary artistry. The baking category saw Yasmin Kaunsar take the top prize of ₹50,000, while Ishfaq Rashid followed closely behind, winning ₹10,000. In the cooking category, Rukhshar Hussain wowed the judges and also claimed a ₹50,000 prize, while Amarjeet Kaur earned ₹10,000 for her impressive skills.
With a strong focus on regional ingredients like Khyber Himalayan Trout, Homechef Season 3 underscored Kashmir’s potential as a top food destination, celebrating local flavors that continue to captivate food lovers.
Organized with support from IHM Srinagar, the event highlighted the growing community of talented home chefs, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Kashmir.
