The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has announced that the CBSE Board Exams 2024 for private students will be conducted in February/March/April 2024. The process for submitting examination forms for these private candidates will commence on September 12.
Private candidates for both Class 10 and Class 12 can submit their examination forms through the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. The categories of candidates eligible to submit forms include:
1. Students who have been declared essential repeat in the result.
2. Students who have been placed in a compartment in the exam.
3. Students who have been placed in a compartment in the 1st chance compartment exam.
4. Failed/essential repeat students of 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
5. Passed out students of 2023 who wish to appear for improving their performance in one or more subjects.
6. Passed out students of 2022, 2023 who wish to appear in an additional subject, etc.
The online submission of forms for students falling into the aforementioned categories for the examination to be held in 2023 will commence on September 12, 2023. The examination will be conducted based on the syllabus available on the Board’s official website.
It’s important to note that the mere submission of the form and payment of the fee does not guarantee a candidate’s right to appear in the examination. Eligibility depends on meeting the conditions prescribed by the Board.

The examination fees should be paid through online modes such as net banking, debit card, or credit card (both national and international). No fees will be accepted in offline modes like DD, postal order, money order, or cheque.
