The online registration for AISSEE 2024 began on November 7, 2023, and will close on December 16, 2023, at 5 p.m. The exam itself is scheduled for Sunday, January 21, 2024.
AISSEE 2024 Notification
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the availability of the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination 2024 application form on November 07, 2023. For NTA Sainik School Admission 2024 in the sixth grade, eligibility is for kids aged 10 to 12. To be admitted to class 9 of AISSEE in 2024, students must be between the ages of 13 and 15. The deadline for submitting the Admission Form for Sainik School 2024–2025 is December 16, 2023.
AISSEE is conducted at 33 Sainik Schools nationwide for admission to classes 6 and 9. These English-medium residential schools, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), are known as Sainik Schools. They prepare cadets for training schools such as the Indian Naval Academy, National Defence Academy, and others.
Nineteen Sainik Schools have received recognition from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The admission process for Class 6 in the new Sainik Schools for the academic year 2024–2025 will be facilitated through AISSEE 2024.

The date of the Sainik School Entrance Exam is set for January 21, 2024. Students will be selected for admission to these institutions via e-counseling, which will take into account both their medical fitness as assessed by qualified medical authorities and their ranking in the AISSEE 2024.
AISSEE Sainik School Admission 2024 Eligibility
- The age restriction is one year less for children of active duty members of the Indian Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces.
- Children of war widows and handicapped ex-servicemen are eligible for a two-year age relaxation.
- The age restriction for SC/ST applicants has been loosened by three years.
AISSEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Class 6th
- Ten-to-12-year-olds may apply to Sainik School for 6th grade.
- Students applying for the Sainik School Examination 2024 must be in Class V at a recognized school.
AISSEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Class 9th
- Boys aged 13–15 may apply for 9th grade at Sainik School.
