Weather Update: Precipitation in the form of rain/snow is anticipated in some areas during the late-night hours of today or the morning hours of tomorrow. A spell of snowfall is possible in some plains as well.
Explanation: While it’s chilly in the Kashmir plains right now, with temperatures well below freezing, there’s a glimmer of hope for some snowfall tonight. Although temperatures will rise by 3-5°C, it’ll still be cold enough for precipitation to occur in the form of snow, especially in the Shopian-Kulgam belt.
However, since the current Western Disturbance is weak, significant precipitation isn’t likely. But if we do get some light or moderate snowfall, it’s pretty much likely to be wintry white flakes.

The only thing needed is some precipitation (the chances of which are low).
Moreover, a spell of snowfall can’t be ruled out in Gulmarg and Sonamarg.
