India Post GDS 6th Merit List 2024

India Post has announced the 6th Merit List for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024 on December 30, 2024. The merit list is for 21 postal circles, and additionally, the 4th Merit List has been released for the Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir regions. Candidates who could not secure a place in the previous lists can now check their results on the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

India Post 6th Merit List: Direct Download Link

The merit list PDFs are now available for download. Applicants for the roles of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak can access the merit list for their respective postal circles.


Steps to Download the India Post Merit List 2024

Follow these steps to check the merit list:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to Results Section: Click on the “Candidate’s Corner” or “Results” section on the homepage.
  3. Select Merit List Link: Look for the “GDS Merit List 2024” link.
  4. Choose State/Circle: Select your respective postal circle from the list.
  5. Download PDF: Click the download button to save the PDF file of the merit list.
  6. Search for Your Details: Open the PDF and use Ctrl + F to search for your name, registration number, or division.

Next Steps After the Result

Candidates shortlisted in the 6th Merit List will advance to the Document Verification (DV) stage. During this phase, candidates must present the following original documents:

  • Educational certificates.
  • Caste or category certificates (if applicable).
  • Valid identity proof.

The schedule and venue for the document verification will be communicated to the selected candidates through the official website.

  • Application Period: July 15 to August 5, 2024.
  • Total Vacancies: 44,228 posts.
