Srinagar Dec 03: The Government has ordered the release of 20% Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees of the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC).
The order was issued as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare of JKRTC staff.
“As approved by the Board of Directors of JKRTC in its 87th meeting held on 16th August 2024, sanction is hereby accorded to the release of 20% Dearness Allowance in favour of the JKRTC employees working in regular pay band/scales,” the order reads.
According to the order, the existing rate of DA was 139%, which has been hiked to 159%, and will be applicable from 01.08.2024.
“The other terms and conditions shall remain same as laid down in earlier order No. JKRTC/GMA/PS/J/457, dated 11.02.2013 issued with the approval of Board of Directors during 70th meeting,” the order further reads.
